Presentation Guidelines

Regular Paper Presentation Sessions

In the regular presentation track, each paper is allocated a maximum of 25 minutes. Authors are limited to 15 minutes of actual presentation time with 5 minutes for the discussant and 5 minutes for broader discussion with the audience.
Please make your presentation available on a USB drive ahead of time, so that it may be loaded on to the podium computer to avoid delays in between presentations.
For the paper to be posted online, we will by default use the paper submitted. If you would like to use a different version, please send an email to wiseconf2017@gmail.com by December 7, 2017.

Short Paper Presentation Sessions

Each short paper presentation track will consist of a Summary Presentations part, where each presenter will get 8 minutes to present their paper to the WISE participants.  To help with compatibility of the slides (which will be eventually combined into a single file), short paper presentations should be created by downloading and modifying the provided presentation slides template in the file wise2017-session_00_slides.pptx. The final file should be renamed wise2017-session_num_slides.pptx, where "session_num" is replaced with the session and order in which your presentation is (according to the program), and emailed to the chair (wiseconf2017@gmail.com). For instance, the file for the third presentation in session 1 should be named wise2017-s1_03_slides.pptx.
To help with compatibility, presenters should avoid mathematical symbols in nonstandard fonts, and use images for formulas, graphs and tables to the extent possible. They should also keep the font size readable, and avoid using transitions in their slides. Presentation slides should be received no later than midnight of December 7, 2017. If you send updated versions of a file, do not change the file name. More recent versions (as determined by the date of the email) will replace earlier versions.
